According to pod2G, he has managed to jailbreak his iPhone 4 untethered running iOS 5.0.1 with the help of the tool developed by Chronic Dev Team. According to pod2G, soon he will perform untethered jailbreak on iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G and iPad running iOS 5.0.1. With the help of CDevReporter, Chronic Dev Team has developed a tool which will bring iOS 5 untethered jailbreak. Currently no information available about the release date of this jailbreak tool. pod2G has not provided any information whether iPhone 4S and iPad 2 users will be able to use this jailbreak tool or not. It is expected that soon Chronic Dev Team will release this tool which will bring untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 and iOS 5.0.1 devices.
