Since Amazon released the source code for the Fire, however, the device had been rooted making it possible to add it anyway. Rooting the device, moving and installing files, and installing a third party alternate launcher will be necessary. Before you continue, you will need to meet a few pre-requisites. Firstly, your Kindle Fire must be rooted. Secondly, you must install TWRP 2.0 – a touch-based custom recovery for the Kindle Fire.
